Team at IN+/IST-ID has also developed unique skills and diagnostic techniques to characterize multiphase and interfacial flows, vital in the description of the processes evaluated in the cooling strategies.

The team at MEtRICs/UMinho has a strong background in applications of thermoelectric generators for heat recovery of the exhaust gases, addressing several energy recovery strategies. These members of team also developed heat pipe and vapor chamber solutions for industrial applications at a more applied and product oriented approach.

CMEMS-UMINHO has the skills and equipment to devise innovative and advance solutions to assemble the cooling system integrating modified surfaces using new micro-structuring and combining materials to further improve the efficiency of the cooling systems in a cost effective way.
